Farm reforms discussion in UK Parliament ‘tendentious’, says India
The ministry of external affairs on Tuesday summoned the British High Commissioner and conveyed strong opposition to British parliamentarians discussing farm reforms. In a press statement, issued by the ministry of foreign affairs it was said that foreign secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla made it clear that the discussion at UK Parliament represented a gross interference in the politics of another country. Terming this as vote bank politics, he also highlighted that there was a misrepresentation of events.
